    Our aquacultured sympodium is bright blue with green highlights. It is a soft coral that is moderately easy to keep and grows fairly quickly when happy in your tank. Your get a 1 inch frag plug completing encrusted over.

    Sympodium corals are in the family Xeniidae.  Xeniids are commonly called pulse corals.

    The blue and green color of Sympodium coral is unique in soft corals. The coral color is blue and green under all color of lights. This coral usually thrives in most tank conditions and lighting even those tanks were conditions are not always ideal.

    Because of their particular feeding habits, it isn’t necessary to directly feed Sympodium corals. The zooxanthellae provide nutrients via photosynthesis, and the polyps will absorb dissolved organic matter directly from the water.  Please see this article for more information about Sympodium spp.
