    This green with bright red polyp Montipora tuberculosa coral is commonly called a chili pepper monti. The colors on this piece are very nice. It is over 1 inch and growing on a frag tile.

    The Montipora coral is a small polyp stony (SPS) coral and is fast growing coral that will add diversity to your reef aquarium. Montipora coral are more hardy and resistant to bleaching than a lot of other sps coral.  The Montipora species of coral is more peaceful and can be placed in close proximity to other similarly peaceful corals in the reef aquarium.
