Great Looking Corals

Well I’m not sure if you have a cheap camera or what but I’m glad you talked me into these other corals. They are MUCH NICER than they appeared on your website! All made it in excellent shape and are acclimating now. Thanks!

Aquacultured Pulsing Blue Xenia Coral

Our aquacultured pulsing blue xenia is best described as steel blue in color. The short branches are blue and the pulsing heads are steel blue to silver. You get at one or two thick stalks growing on a frag plug. This soft coral is easy to keep and thrives in most tanks.

Aquacultured Xenia are hardier than wild-caught species and tend to reproduce more quickly. They require lower level combined with medium water movement within the aquarium.

Xenia does not possess any apparent stinging capability and will not bother other corals, but can tend to grow over and shadow its neighbors. When water conditions are right Xenia can reproduce by division at an very fast rate and may require frequent pruning to keep it from crowding out other corals.

Xenia contain the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae from which they receive their nutritional requirements and do not need any additional feeding.
