Australian Red and Green Eye Favia Coral - .5 Inch T-1
Our Australian war coral is red and bright green eyes. Some corals may have some gray color too. Each coral is aroapprox. 0.5 inch and mounted on a coral frag chip. There is some variation in the shape of each coral.
Common names for Favia corals are moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Favia corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world. Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.
Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.
