Candy Corn Favia Coral - 1 Inch t4-1

This bright Australian prism favia has some purple and bright Terqouise and a yellow rim. This coral is 1 inch across and attached on a frag tile.

Common names for Favia corals are moon coral, green moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Favia corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world.

Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.  Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate to moderate light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.  They are an easier coral to keep which makes the good for the begginner reef aquarist.
