Captive Bred Indigo Dottyback - Pseudochromis fridmani x sankeyi

64

The Indigo Dottyback is a hybrid between the Orchid Dottyback (Pseudochromis fridmani) and the Striped Dottyback (Pseudochromis sankeyi). The offspring are beautifully colored fish with a unusual indigo color. The fish is about 1.5-2 inches long. Color and pattern vary slightly between fish. The fish in stock are blue with a black stripe.

It eats a wide vaiety of foods.

In aquariums, Indigo Dottybacks are small plankton feeders so foods such as brine shrimp, krill and mysid shrimp are perfect. Indigo Dottybacks are moderately territorial. More than one can be kept per tank, as long as the tank has plenty of hiding spaces.
