Green Pipe Organ Coral - 1.25 Inches

Our pipe organ coral has green polyps with a red skeleton. It is about 1.25 inches when open. It does best under moderate to higher light and flow. It is mounted on a frag chip.

The Pipe Organ Coral is a soft coral but is often referred to as a hard coral because of its red calcareous skeleton. Common names for the Tubipora musica are organ pipe coral. pipe organ coral, and daisy coral. The pipe organ coral is often confused with the star polyps or clove polyps because of their similar appearance. The pipe organ coral is not an aggressive coral and will not overgrow or sting other corals in your reef tank. It requires a moderate to high light combined with a medium to strong water flow within the reef aquarium. It is fragile and should not be positioned in currents which could displace or damage it. This coral contains a symbiotic algae zooxanthellae that provides the its nutritional and does not require additional feeding.
