Prettiest Coral I Have

I have a 400 gallon tank filled with corals. My new dendro coral is certainly the prettiest coral I have. If you think this coral likes mysis, you should see it eat krill. Thank you for this awesome coral!

Large Black Sun Coral - 30+ Heads

This beautiful black sun coral has has 30 heads or more. The polyps are a deep green and black when open.

Like other sun corals, this piece does not require light and it gets its nutrition from what it can capture in the water flow instead of from zooanthellae. It must be target fed at least a couple times a week. Feeding of meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp with a turkey baster is best for good growth.

Place these corals in an area of moderate to high flow to keep sediment off the tissue. But also keep in mind it should be placed where you can easily reach it to feed it. If you wish to place the coral in an area of high light, begin the coral in an low light area and work it up to the higher light over time.

Please see this article for more information about sun corals.
