Fingers Crossed

The three Berghia arrived healthy and the acclimatization and transfer to the tank successfully completed. We seem to do really well with invertebrates so I think they will be fine. Now, cant wait to see the glass anemone's start to disappear. Thanks!

Lunar Eclipse Palys Coral 1 polyp

This lunar eclipse Palythoa coral are very popular. There is 1 polyps growing on a frag plug.

They are very easy to maintain in the reef aquarium which make them great for the beginning reef aquarist.  They also grow rapidly and will crowd out other less aggressive corals. They reproduce easily by budding, splitting off a portion of their base or mouth), which will increase the size of their colony in your reef aquarium.

The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within their bodies provides the majority of their nutritional requirements through photosynthesis.

Very Active

Hi: All the Berghia arrived safe and sound - very active. The berghia appear to have crawled into the rockwork. I enjoyed talking to you the other day. I took your advice and have held off on the butterfly until I see if the Berghia do their thing....
