ORA Aquacultured Kelly Green Psammocora Coral

83

Our Kelly Green Psammocora coral from ORA is an intense green branching coral from the Psammocora genus. The size is 1-1.25 inches growing on a live frag rock.

These corals are sometimes referred to as sandpaper corals because of the fine grainy appearance they have when their polyps are not extended.   When its polyps are fully extended Kelly Green Psammocora has a rich velvety look.  This is one of the brightest green SPS corals out there, it really grabs your attention when passing by a tank.

It has a rather unique growth form among SPS corals.  It heavily encrusts the surface it is growing on before it begins to form thick  irregular branches spread across its surface.  It grows well in a wide variety of aquarium lighting condtions but this coral will look the best when viewed under aquarium lights heavy on the blue spectrum.  Moderate to strong flow is suggested to keep detritus from accumulating on its irregular surface of this coral.

Thanks

Got my little guys. They've been in my tank for about an hour now. Two disappeared and one is just hanging out. He's near an aiptasia but hasn't started dining yet. The coral is doing well too. Thanks again for all the help!
