Red and Green Eye War Favia 8-10

43

Our Australian war coral is red with bright green eyes and blue lines running through it.

Common names for Favia corals are moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Favia corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world. Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.

Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.

So far so good.

Everything is good. Some of the small aiptasia are gone but the bigger ones are still around. So far so good. Just got them so we'll see.
