Our Australian war coral is red with bright green eyes and blue lines running through it.

Common names for Favia corals are moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Favia corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world. Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.

Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.

Going to Work

I just pipetted the critters into the tank. It looked like they went to work so I think we acclimated and transported well. Thanks for your help. I look forward to the result over the course of the next few weeks. Mike
