Made It Fine

Thank you. Everything made it fine. They were all alive and anxious to eat. I fed them one aiptasia which they consumed fairly quickly before putting them into the tank. Thanks again. Mark

Red Banded Trochus Snail - Trochus sp.

70

Trochus snails specialize in general algae grazing on the tank walls and the rockwork. They are very hardy and typically long lived snails. They are easy to keep and do not bother other tank inhabitants.

Trochus sp. are from Indonesia.  In nature, they are commonly found on algae, sea grasses, and rocks in shallow water and near the low tide line.  They have a high, conical shell, and can grow up to 1.5 inches long and 0.5 inches wide depending on species and maturity.
