Trochus snails specialize in general algae grazing on the tank walls and the rockwork. They are very hardy and typically long lived snails. They are easy to keep and do not bother other tank inhabitants.

Trochus sp. are from Indonesia.  In nature, they are commonly found on algae, sea grasses, and rocks in shallow water and near the low tide line.  They have a high, conical shell, and can grow up to 1.5 inches long and 0.5 inches wide depending on species and maturity.

Doing Fine

I got them this morning at 11 and acclamated them for 2 hours before putting them into my tank. I just checked on them and saw one eating an aiptasia. They seem to be doing fine. I'll keep you posted as their progress continues. Thanks again! Ricky
