Photosynthetic Purple Frilly Gorgonian

The purple frilly gorgonian have multiple branches each and can be anywhere from 6-12 inches tall. They will grow under almost any light with a decent amount of flow. It's great for a beginner with corals. Culturing of the colony is often accomplished by taking a branch of the coral and attaching that piece to live rock which will form a new colony. The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within its body provides a majority of its nutritional needs and does not have to be fed.
