This coral grows and spreads very quickly. It is easy to keep in most aquariums and adapts to most lighting. Clove polyps are one of the best beginner corals!
It does not possess any apparent stinging capability and will not bother other corals. When water conditions are right Clove polyps will reproduce at a very fast rate and may require frequent pruning to keep it from crowding out other corals.
It contains the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae from which they receive their nutritional requirements and they do not need any additional feeding.
