Turbo Snails (Turbo fluctuosa)

Live Arrival Guarantee
The Turbo Snail specializes in general algae grazing on the aquarium walls and rockwork. These medium size turbo snails have a healthy appetite and will eat large amounts of algae, including hair algae. They are easy to keep and do not bother other aquarium inhabitants. Turbo sp. are from the Family Turbinidae. These are large sea snails with gills and operculum. An operculum is like a trapdoor in that it closes over the end of their shell when they retract their bodies. Being able to close their operculum is helpful in that it prevents them from drying out when exposed to air. It also protects them from predators when their body is pulled inside. This snail cannot flip itself over.
