Basket Weaving Starfish (Astrophyton muricatum)

The Basket Star can come in shades of brown and orange. These are nocturnal feeder. They will lift all their arms to open up to eat plankton and filter feed left over food or whatever they can find. Like other starfish they are very sensitive to changes in water chemistry as well as to copper based medications. They should not be exposed to air. Drip acclimation is best for at least 1.25 hours.
