The Arrow crab, also known as the Spider crab has extremely long legs. It is called an arrow crab because of the shape of the body and head. They can reach anywhere from 6-10 inches. The crab has been known to attack crustaceans and may even attack slow moving fish. All crabs are opportunistic feeders and if the insufficient food is present they may pick at mushrooms or polyps for food. They can however been beneficial for eating bristle worms which some consider pests. Like most inverts they are very sensitive to copper based medications.
