The Kitten Cowrie has an egg-shaped, spotted, and glossy shell and is in high demand in the reef aquarium. They can reach up to 2 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of rock for hiding places. When they are smaller , it will eat algae and scavenge for scraps in the substrate. As adults they may go after anemones and soft corals. They are best housed with urchin, tubeworms, and serpent stars. They are sensitive to copper based medications.
