Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus randalli)

Alpheus sp. It is beneficial shrimp which will constantly move gravel making them excellent sand stirrers in the reef aquarium, as well as scavenging any uneaten fish food. They form a symbiotic relationship with watchman and prawn gobies. They build a burrow in which they live together and protect each other. The shrimp is about .75 inches and can grow up to 2 inches or more. Drip acclimate for about 1 hour with the goal tripling the water volume in the bag during that time.
