. This coral grows and spreads very quickly. It is easy to keep in most aquariums and adapts to most lighting. One of the best beginner corals.

Aquacultured are hardier than wild-caught species and tend to reproduce more quickly. They require a medium light combined with medium water movement within the aquarium.

Xenia does not possess any apparent stinging capability and will not bother other corals. When water conditions are right Xenia can reproduce by division at an very fast rate and may require frequent pruning to keep it from crowding out other corals.

Xenia contain the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae from which they receive their nutritional requirements and do not need any additional feeding.

Very healthy Elegance Coral

I bought a medium pink tip Australian elegance coral from Lisa (saltyunderground.com) four months ago and it is now 9 inches and 6 inches big, out growing the space I gave the beauty. It was by far the healthiest elegance I've ever had in my four years...
