Lots of eggs

Berghias are here and look great. They laid eggs in the bag 3 separate times so that was a bonus. 4 of them are eating an Aip that I plucked out of the tank and 2 are wandering around the LR now. I plan to transfer the rest when they're done eating. ...

Green Star Polyp - 1 Inch t-3-28-f

Our bright green star polyps, Briareum sp., is a one of the easiest and fastest growing corals to keep. You get a frag chip covered in About an inch of bright green polyps. Please note that this type of polyp ships very well but it can take several days to open once it arrives to your tank. This is normal.

Briareum corals are gorgonians in the family Briareidae. They are commonly found in many reef zones including lagoons and fore-reef slopes. Although they are tolerant of a variety of lighting conditions, they do best in moderate water flow and moderate to high intensity lighting, like you might find on a reef flat on on an upward back reef slope.

Green star polyps are hardy and fast growing. They can quickly encrust over neighbors, so give them plenty of space in your aquarium. These are also vulnerable to other stinging corals and Aiptasia anemones will prevent their polyps from opening. You should blow sediment from its mat periodically to keep it free from algal accumulation. You do not need to directly feed star polyps, as they rely on photosynthesis via their zooxanthellae.
