Laying Eggs and Eating Right Away

Hi, Everything arrived happy and healthy and the Berghia already had eggs with them. They've been eating and laying more eggs since they've been in the tank too. You're right about the corals - they are beautiful. Thanks again, Robin

This large bright  ricordea is over 1 inch when open. It is a fast growing ricordea when happy in your tank. and growing on a frag chip for easy placement in your tank.

Ricordea is a type of mushroom coral of moderate size.  It can be identified by the fact that it has contrasting raised dots across its surface.  The colors can range from orange, blue, brown, green or purple and be quite vibrant.  and come from Florida waters.

Ricordea require at least moderate light levels but very high intensity metal halide lighting may cause the colors to fade. Place Ricordea florida in low water motion for best expansion. Although they are slow growing corals, growth of this coral can lead to encroachment on its neighbors where it is able to effectively kill other coral that it comes into contact with.

Ricordea are photosynthetic and survive fine with no feeding.
