Aquacultured Blue And A Orange Florida Ricordea Coral - 2 Polyp T-4-21-i

79

This large bright orange and a bue Florida ricordea is aquacultured. The mother colony has been in captivity for many years. It is a fast growing ricordea when happy in your tank. It is growing on a frag chip for easy placement in your tank.

Ricordea is a type of mushroom coral of moderate size.  It can be identified by the fact that it has contrasting raised dots across its surface.  The colors can range from orange, blue, brown, green or purple and be quite vibrant.  and come from Florida waters.

Ricordea require at least moderate light levels but very high intensity metal halide lighting may cause the colors to fade. Place Ricordea florida in low water motion for best expansion. Although they are slow growing corals, growth of this coral can lead to encroachment on its neighbors where it is able to effectively kill other coral that it comes into contact with.

Ricordea are photosynthetic and survive fine with no feeding.
