Burning War Favia Coral N-3-27-K

43

Our beautiful burning war coral is bright red with green eyes with a burning skirt. The piece is about 1 inch encrusting on a frag plug.

Common names for Favia corals are moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Favia corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world. Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.

Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate to bright light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.
