Common names for brain corals are moon coral, green moon coral, brain coral, closed brain coral, and star coral. Brain corals are one of the most prolific coral species in the world. Feeding tentacles emerge at night which will allow you to feed them items like brine shrimp for faster growth.

Polyp buds can accure which are a form of asexual reproduction in the home reef aquarium. They prefer moderate to bright light but can tolerate much lower lighting conditions. High current will keep them from expanding completely.

They are an easier coral to keep which makes the good for the begginner reef aquarist.

Thanks for the Berghia

Hey, Got everything in and acclimated the Bergia yesterday. They were active in the holding cup while I was acclimating them. The heat pack was still warm and that probably helped a lot. Thanks for the berghia and wish me luck. Ray
