Chalk Basslet

The Lava Basslet is a peaceful fish and are great for beginners. They need plenty of rock to hide and feel safe in. They do not like bright lighting as they are use to being on the bottom in deep waters. They can reach up to 5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 75 gallons with plenty of rock to hide and swim through. They are very territorial with other fish over den space. Their diet consists of mysis, brine, and other meaty food. They may take high quality flake and pellet food.
