Blue Spot Butterflyfish (Chaetodon plebius)

The Blue Spot Butterflyfish is a peaceful fish unless with other butterflyfish of same species, shape, and color. They can grow up to 6 inches so they will require an aquarium of at least 90 gallons. They are not considered reef safe as they are known to nip at corals, tube anemones, and ornamental shrimp. Their diet consists of brines, mysis, marine algae, seaweed, spirulina, and will even take high quality flakes.
