The Dog Face Puffer is a semi aggressive fish, known for nipping at smaller fish. They can reach up to 13 inches. An aquarium of at least 150 gallons with plenty of room to swim would be ideal. When threatened this puffer will inflate to twice its size. Parts of their body are poisonous when consumed. The puffer's diet consists of meaty foods like squid, krill and clams. They will eat majanos from rocks. Hard shell inverts help to keep their teeth filed down. The Puffer is a possible longtime companion to any aquarium with a life span of 10-15 years.
