Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)

The Purple Tang, Zebrasoma flavescens, can grow up to 10 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 125 gallons with plenty of swim room as well as rock to hide and forage from. They can be aggressive towards other fish with similar shape and color as well as other tangs like them. Their diet consists of marine algae, seaweed, and veggies. They are even known to eat meaty foods other fish are offered.
