Pencil Wrasse Male (Pseudojuloides sp.)

The Pencil Wrasse is a peaceful fish. They can grow up to 5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 50 gallons or more with plenty of rock to hide and will need a sand bed to sleep in. They are not considered reef safe as they may nip at small inverts and shrimp. Males like this one can be kept with multiple females but to keep an eye out for aggression with other types of wrasses in smaller aquariums.  This wrasses diet consists of meaty foods.
