Red Anglerfish

The Anglerfish is a mostly peaceful fish. They can grow up to 6 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 50 gallons or more with plenty of space for swimming and rocks for perching on. These fish like to lay in wait for their prey, sometimes stalking them, then swallowing them whole. They are not considered reef safe as they will eat small fish and crustaceans. They can swallow fish that are even of their own size. It would be best kept with larger and more aggressive fish. Their diet consists of live feeder fish, shrimps, and will take frozen meaty foods like cockle, squid, clam, and krill.
