Punctato Butterflyfish (Chaetodon punctatofasciatus)

The Punctato Butterfly is a hardy and very easy going butterflyfish. This fish can reach up to 5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 90 gallons with plenty of rock to hide and forage on. They can get aggressive sometimes with other butterflies of similar shape and color. These are not considered reef safe as they can nip at soft corals and stony polyps, ornamental shrimp, tube worms, and anemones. Their diet consists of seaweed, marine algae, mysis, and brines.
