Pygmy Yellowtail Angelfish (Centropyge flavicauda)

The Pygmy Yellowtail Angelfish is a semi aggressive fish. They can reach up to 3 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 55 gallons with plenty of rock to hide and forage. This fish is not considered reef safe as they may nip at soft and stony corals as well as pick on other dwarf angelfish. If you want to keep more than one it is best to keep one male and have a few females. Though it can be difficult to tell what sex the fish is with no obvious markings. Their diet consists of marines algae, spirulina, mysis, brines, and other meaty foods. They may also take high quality flake and pellet foods.
