Basket Wrasse (Halichoeres Hortulanus)

The Basket Wrasse is a peaceful wrasse but prefer to be the only wrasse of this type in the aquarium.  As juveniles the face color is lighter.  As they mature the vivid pink and blue striping is more prominent. They can reach up to 10 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 90 gallons with plenty of rock. A bed of sand bed to sleep and hide is preferred. A tight fitted lid is required to make sure they do not jump. This wrasse is reef safe. Their diet consists of mysis, brine, and other meaty food. They may also take some high-quality flake and pellet food.

This fish is guaranteed for live arrival.
