Banana Fusilier (Caesio sp.)

The Banana Fusilier is a very peaceful fish. These fish like to school together and will get smaller timid fish to come out into the open. This fish can grow to over a foot and will need an aquarium of at least 250 gallons.  The fusilier is not considered reef safe as they love to eat inverts. They can be housed with more aggressive fish, such as snappers, grouper and large wrasses. A tight fitted lid will be needed as it is a jumper. Their diet consists of mysis, brines, and other meaty foods as well as high quality flake and pellet.
