Blue Spotted Cowfish

The Cowfish is a peaceful fish and usually have great personalities. They can reach up to 20 inches in the wild, less when in aquariums. Cowfish will eventually need an aquarium of at least 150 gallons with plenty of rock to hide and forage. They do not like other cowfish. They are not considered reef safe as they may peck at tube anemones. Exercise caution with this fish as they have a toxin they may release when severely threatened and it may affect others. Their diet consists of mysis shrimp, brines, and other meaty foods as well as some veggies.
