Pearlscale Butterflyfish (Chaetodon xanthurus)

The Pearlscale Butterflyfish is a peaceful fish and can get up to 6 inches. They will need an aquarium of at least 90 gallons with plenty of live rock to hide and graze on. They are not considered reef safe as they are known to nip soft and stony corals. They should be housed with other peaceful fish. If you want to house with the same species, they should be introduced at the same time. Their diet consists of meaty foods, freeze-dried, fresh or flake food.
